How to Be A NICET Certified Fire Alarm Technician

NICET is helping the public by providing safety for them as these NICET certified technicians use proper engineering methods to finish or perform a job. Technicians with proper training are able to work following all safety measures ensuring public benefit and safety.
Fire Alarm Technician
Fire alarm technician is someone who goes through building plans to make sure that a building is being constructed within the codes of fire and electricals set by the government and also to get the fact that what kind of fire alarm is most suited for a building and how much it can cost, etc. They come to a conclusion after a thorough research of the place and submit their finding to their clients. If a client agrees to all the terms and conditions of the technician, he/she will then install and check the fire alarm whether it is working properly.

These technicians generally have an associate degree where they mainly learn about codes for electrical work, wiring, alarm systems, etc. After their graduation, they can opt for a certification exam from NICET, which allows them to be a NICET Certified Fire Alarm Technician upon passing.
NICET certified technicians and technologists
A technician or a technologist have to pass certification exams in order to be called a NICET certified technician or technologists. Different levels of tests are available for candidates belonging to different fields. These tests certify a candidate’s knowledge and skill set.
There are four levels of certification available. A person sits for the test which is applicable to them. Below the levels are given with few requirements:
·         Level 1 is for people who are just started as a technician or technologist. Just having some experience in the relevant field will allow the individual to sit for this level certification exam.
·         Level 2 is for people who have at least an experience of two years in their line of work.
·         Level 3 requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with certain other documents.
·         Lastly, level 4 is for those people who have an experience of 10 years or more, have worked in some kind of a big project(relevant to their work experience), etc.

Once an individual is sure about a level he can sit for, all he/she has to do is get enrolled for the exam by paying the fees and filling out the form for the examination? These tests can be on paper or computer depending on an individual’s exam level.
